TRIP OVERVIEW

Nar Phu villages are located in the northwest of Nepal, within the Annapurna Conservation of Nepal. The valley is surrounded by unspoiled mountain valleys and mountains that feature a mix of raw Himalayan nature and ancient Buddhist culture. Bordering Tibet through high Himalayan passes, the culture, the religion of the area is that of Tibet. The region opened for foreign tourists only in 2003. Yet it only started gaining attention once the local homestays started accommodating tourists during 2010, before then camping was the only option. Therefore it is considered one of the best-untouched trekking areas in Nepal.

Nar Phu valley trek has become one of the least explored and most exotic treks in Nepal but due to its isolated existence, the Tibetan culture of the valley has remained undisturbed for centuries. They have retained an age-old nomadic yak-herding lifestyle. It is like traveling back in time to visit these enchanting stone villages beneath the snow-capped range of Annapurna.

Nar Phu valley trek combines remote villages of Nar and Phu, narrow canyons, lovely forest, amazing rock formations, yak, monasteries, Kang La Pass 5320m, and unique Himalayan cultures. You will pass Besishahar, Chame, Dharapani, Koto, Meta, Kyang Phu, Nar, Ngawal, Gyaru, Chame villages on this trek. Trekking to this hidden mountain valley offers medieval

Tibetian culture in a very undisturbed form, dramatic mountains, and great alpine sceneries.

The Annapurna circuit that lies next to the Nar Phu valley trek is very crowded with too many tourists during each busy season. Next door, Nar Phu valley is considered one of the best remote and off-beat trails in the Annapurna Region.

For those who want to be in the Annapurna and want to witness the high, white, glistening mountains of the area, but who want to be off the beaten track, the Nar Phu valley trek might be what they are looking for. Nar Phu trek is undoubtedly one of the premier destinations in the Himalayas.
